When it's up to trying a new beer one question always comes to mind: which beer should I choose?

If you never had a Staropramen before you better start off with the brewery's flagship product - Staropramen, so calledležák, premium beer lager. Due to consistent and sufficient fermentation, ležák features a full-bodied balanced taste with a gentle natural bite and just a touch of bitterness. It also features a rich head of foam and a deep golden colour.

If you are in Prague, or anywhere in the Czech Republic, and you're into dark beers there's a real treat for you: Černý (dark)is a Staropramen's dark lager, a bittersweet, delightful pleasure that nourishes and celebrates the beauty of existence. Other than its exquisite appearance this beer merges the calming caramel sweetness and bitterness of the finest hops.

Another one that stands out in this must try list isthe famous Granát (garnet), a red lager which proudly embodies Staropramen's brewing tradition. To this day this beer follows the recipe from 1884 and is still made by using a special sprinkling process and mixing pale and specialty malts. That process is the reason why this beer has that unique granát color.

Wheat beer lovers would definitely enjoy Staropramen Unfiltered, a beer that is brewed from the 34% wheat malt, specially chosen hops and a touch of coriander.

For some occasions the Staropramen brewery offers Nealko, a non-alcoholic beer that has an enjoyably bitter taste and an outstanding flavour.
